Estimated 16,500 to flee UK as Rachel Reeves considers U-turn on non-dom rules.

Millionaires are expected to say goodbye to their homes in the U.K. to return to places like Saudi Arabia, India, and South Africa, and to tax-friendly countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Monaco, and Malta, a new report from Henley and Partners finds.

An estimated 16,500 millionaires are set to leave the country in the coming 12 months.

The UK was already one of the countries that the wealthy were fleeing. But according to a report out today by the advisers Henley & Partners, a record 16,500 millionaires will leave the UK in 2025.

A closely-followed global study has shown that the UK's average household wealth fell 3.6 per cent last year, reversing a trend of healthy growth in the country.

While the traditionally wealthy US cities continue to flourish, it’s the smaller cities seeing the biggest rise in fortunes as their appeal to a globally mobile population grows.

America now has more than 6 million liquid millionaires, or those with investable assets of more than $1 million.
